Penn State Women’s Soccer Defender Kaelyn Wolfe Named TopDrawerSoccer Midseason Top-100 Freshman

Penn State women’s soccer defender Kaelyn Wolfe was named to the TopDrawerSoccer Midseason Top-100 Freshman list released Thursday.

Wolfe, a West Chester, Pennsylvania, native, fell at No. 87 on the list.

Wolfe has registered three starts and 10 appearances so far for a Nittany high-performing Lion backline. Penn State has only allowed six goals through 13 games and has held its opponents to 9.5 shots per game.

Not only defensive-minded, Wolfe has contributed to the blue and white’s attack and recorded her first career point for the Nittany Lions with an assist on the game-tying goal against Ohio State on Sunday.

Wolfe and the rest of the Penn State squad will continue their strong start to the 2023 campaign at 7 p.m. on Thursday, October 12, as they travel to West Lafayette to take on Purdue.
