Penn State Football’s Adisa Isaac Named East-West Shrine Bowl Breakout Defensive Player Of The Week

Penn State football defensive end Adisa Isaac was dubbed the East-West Shrine Bowl’s Breakout Defensive Player of the Week on Tuesday.

Isaac had a field day against the UMass Minutemen, tallying four total tackles and 2.5 sacks in the Nittany Lions’ statement win Saturday.

The senior defensive lineman from Brooklyn, New York, has been a staple for the Penn State defensive unit. Isaac’s stat line this season is impressive, totaling 12 tackles and five sacks through the Nittany Lions’ first five games this season.

The Penn State defense is statistically the best in the country going into week eight of the 2023 college football season. It has allowed the fewest yards per game throughout college football at 193.7. The squad also allows the fewest yards per play at 3.42.
