No. 10 Penn State Football Opens As 20.5-Point Favorite Against Rutgers

Penn State football is once again favored to get back into the win column.

After another close loss to a top-five opponent their last time out, the Nittany Lions are aiming to bounce back against Rutgers.

Last week, the Nittany Lions battled tooth and nail against the Michigan Wolverines in their second game against a top-five opponent. In Penn State’s 24-15 loss, the nine-point deficit prevented the blue and white from beating the spread, and the defensive battle fell just six points short of the over.

This week, the Nittany Lions will host another Big Ten opponent, the Scarlet Knights. According to FanDuel, the spread for the conference matchup is 20.5 points in favor of James Franklin’s group. The game also has an over-under set at 42.5 points.

Penn State has won nine games in a row against the Scarlet Knights while holding them to less than six points per game. In these nine matchups, Penn State is 5-4 against the spread and an abysmal 1-8 against the over-under.

So far this season, Rutgers is 6-2-2 against the spread and 5-5 playing toward the over-under.

The game will kick off at noon on Saturday, November 18, in Beaver Stadium. Folks can tune in to Penn State’s last game in Happy Valley on FOX.
