Penn State Men’s Hockey Forward Aiden Fink Named HCA National Rookie Of The Month

Penn State men’s hockey freshman Aiden Fink was named the HCA National Rookie of the Month, the team announced Friday. Fink is the second-ever Penn State hockey player to earn the honor and first since 2018.

In the month of November, Fink scored eight goals and 14 assists in only eight games. Also during that time, Fink scored the 11th hat trick in school history and is now ranked sixth in the nation in points with 21.

Fink was drafted by the Nashville Predators in the seventh round of the NHL Draft in June and played two seasons for Brooks Bandits in the Alberta Junior Hockey League before becoming a young star for the Nittany Lions.

Fink and the Nittany Lions face No. 7 Minnesota in the Teddy Bear Toss game at 7 p.m. on Friday, December 1, at the Pegula Ice Arena. The game will be aired on BTN+.
