Brainstorming Penn State Places With Holiday Lights

Who doesn’t love holiday lights?

No matter what holiday you celebrate this time of year, there’s no denying the joyous energy Christmas lights can bring. Everything just looks prettier when illuminated by some colored or white bulbs.

To see what Penn State would look like if it added more Christmas lights like the ones downtown, our team photoshopped some lights onto famous spots around Dear Old State. Let’s see how they look!

Old Main

Despite being lit by some flashlights at night, Old Main always looks so dull in the evenings. A few strings of Christmas lights would brighten things up for students walking home from late classes.

Bryce Jordan Center

The Bryce Jordan Center already puts on some fantastic lighting displays with its current light lineup, but what’s better than some lights? Even more lights!

Pollock Road

Pollock Road is one of the most-used roads for students walking and biking around campus. Imagine how magical it would be to bike under rows of lights strung from tree to tree.

Westgate Building

Like Old Main, the west side of campus can feel a bit dark at night. Adding some Christmas lights would bring extra joy to students in the building and those driving underneath on Atherton Street.

The Berkey Creamery

The Berkey Creamery is already one of the happiest places on campus, so why not ramp that up even more by adding festive lights and decorations to the outside of the building?

Beaver Stadium

Now that Beaver Stadium is in hibernation until the Blue-White Game in the spring, we feel like it could use some lights to keep the energy high throughout the the holiday season.
