SPA To Host ‘Big Time Rush’ Star Logan Henderson For ‘SPA Day’ Concert January 19

It’s time to “feel the rush,” Penn State.

SPA will host Big Time Rush member Logan Henderson for a moderated conversation and acoustic performance at 5 p.m. on Friday, January 19, in the HUB’s Heritage Hall. Henderson’s performance will be just one of many exciting events slated for the annual SPA Day.

Best known for his role in Nickelodeon’s hit television series “Big Time Rush,” Henderson has taken part in various endeavors spanning acting, songwriting, and performing. In 2009, the show kicked off Henderson’s acting and music careers alongside his bandmates, Kendall Schmidt, James Maslow, and Carlos PenaVega.

The band’s hit single “Boyfriend” became a chart-topping track and earned its debut, self-titled album “Big Time Rush” RIAA platinum certification. After a successful five years, Big Time Rush went on hiatus in 2014. During this time, Henderson explored a solo career, exercising his songwriting and production skills in tracks like “Pull Me Deep,” which reached the Billboard Top 40 charts.

When the band reunited in 2021, it was met with sold-out tours in the United States and Latin America, Jingle Ball performances, and a wave of excitement from loyal fans.

Students must RSVP for the event to secure tickets, which will be available at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, January 16 through OrgCentral.

Henderson’s performance is free for Penn State students and funded by their student-initiated fee.
