SPA To Host Offset For ‘SPA Day’ Concert January 19

Get ready to “SET IT OFF,” folks.

SPA will host Offset and DJ Earworm for a free concert at 9 p.m. on Friday, January 19, in the HUB’s Alumni Hall. The performance will close out the annual SPA Day, which will take over the HUB Friday and feature VR racing, airbrush apparel, a performance by Big Time Rusher member Logan Henderson, and more.

Rapper Kiari Kendrell Cephus, more famously known as Offset, started his musical career with hip hop group Migos in 2008. After the group’s success with hits like “Stir Fry,” “Need It,” and “MotorSport,” Offset took his career to the next level by collaborating on his own with artists like Cardi B, Travis Scott, and 21 Savage, to name a few.

Most recently, Offset released his second studio album “SET IT OFF,” showcasing his musical journey and growth as an artist. The album features many familiar voices like Future, Latto, and Don Toliver.

In addition to Offset, American mashup artist Jordan Roseman, also known as DJ Earworm, will perform for Penn Staters. He started his career creating mashups in 2003, an unexplored concept at the time. DJ Earworm is most famous for his annual mashup series, “United State of Pop,” which features the top 25 songs of each year.

Students must RSVP for the concert to secure tickets, which will become available at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, January 17, through OrgCentral.

The concert is free for Penn State students and funded by their student-initiated fee.
