Brainstorming Penn State-Themed Movie Posters

It’s almost Oscars season, which means it’s time to look back at all of the great movies of 2023. Nothing excites a moviegoer more than the movie poster for a film, except for, well, maybe the trailer.

From movies like “Barbie” to “Anatomy of the Fall,” the themes of movie posters reach the limits of creativity. Therefore, we created our own Penn State-themed movie posters based on this year’s Oscar-nominated films.

Barbie

If Ken’s mojo dojo casa house is Barbie’s house, then what would make Pat’s mojo dojo casa house? Our best guess is Old Main.

Oppenheimer

The whole premise of “Oppenheimer” was to secretly build an atomic bomb before the Axis Powers found out in World War II. The White Out, on the other hand, invites over 110,000 to join and watch.

Maestro

Mike Rhoades and Ace Baldwin Jr. went to an NCAA Tournament together at VCU, and now they find themselves in Happy Valley looking to light an old spark.

Killers of the Flower Moon

You can try and run from it, but the results will always be the same. Penn State wrestling will win national championships until someone puts an end to it.

Anatomy of the Fall

Despite very similar movie posters, these movies would give off different vibes. The aesthetics of Penn State in the fall would have to grant it an award of some sort.

The Holdovers

When you’re together for a while, you’re bound to start liking each other at some point.
