TEDxPSU To Host 14th Annual Conference February 11

TEDxPSU will host its 14th annual TEDx conference, titled “On The Horizon,” at 9:30 a.m. on Sunday, February 11, in Schwab Auditorium.

The event, emceed by Penn State professor Molly Countermine, will feature nine keynote speakers, music, spoken word poetry, and food provided by Saxby’s.

The conference touts a full slate of events including speeches from author and professor Dr. Michael Berube, UPUA President Nora O’Toole, Presidential Leadership Academy representative Christine Palmer, and local performers Joe Downs and Colby Khloer.

“Exploring our horizons help us approach personal and societal potential while grounding ourselves in tomorrow’s frontier,” TEDxPSU President Abby Jarecki said regarding this year’s theme.

Leader and head talent director Abby Waterhouse said the topics discussed during the conference stem from research and data regarding the “human experience.”

“We analyze the days of the past, critique the urgency of today, and seek solutions for the future’s promises by challenging norms and discovering new perspectives,” Waterhouse said.
