Offset Rocks Alumni Hall With SPA Day Performance

Following an extended set from DJ Earworm, Offset’s performance transformed a rocky start into a roaring audience.

Scheduled to begin at 9 p.m., opener DJ Earworm blended hits by Drake, Kanye West, Cardi B, Rihanna, Justin Bieber, and more for over an hour and a half. He riled up the crowd immediately with a remix of the Penn State gameday classic, “Kernkraft 400,” following it with some tempo-changing beats by Billie Eilish and Travis Scott.

After repeated calls of “we want Offset” from the frustrated crowd over an hour after the beginning of the opening set, DJ Earworm cited icy roads as the primary reason for the anticipated headliner’s late arrival. Some concertgoers appeared to abandon hope, and the crowd thinned as the night wore on.

At 10:30 p.m., Offset sprinted onto the stage to cheers and chants from the excited, but slightly smaller, Penn State crowd.

He soon proved the night was far from over as he opened with new hits and old favorites, teasing his new album release and providing nostalgic callbacks to his days touring with rappers Takeoff and Quavo as part of the Migos group.

The dynamic setlist included chart toppers like “Narcos,” “Ghost Face Killaz,” and “T-Shirt” and collaborations like “No Complaints” and “Say My Grace.”

With the crowd tired out from dancing and Offset breathing heavily after his rowdy set, DJ Earworm and Offset closed out the night with “Ric Flair Drip” and “Bad and Boujee.”
