ESPN Sideline Reporter Lisa Salters To Headline Penn State Forum Series March 29

ESPN sideline reporter and former Lady Lion Lisa Salters is set to headline the Penn State Forum speaker series at the Penn Stater Hotel on Friday, March 29.

Salters graduated from Penn State in 1988 with a degree in broadcast journalism and spent time playing for the women’s basketball team. She’s also served as the Grand Marshal for Homecoming and the commencement speaker for the College of Communications’ graduation.

Salters works as a sideline reporter for two of ESPN’s most notable productions, covering Monday Night Football and the NBA on ABC and ESPN. She’s covered the NBA for ESPN and ABC since 2005 and was named the sideline reporter for Monday Night Football in 2012. In May 2023, Salters won a Sports Emmy in the “Outstanding Personality/Reporter” category. 

Salters has worked at the national level since 1995. She’s covered the O.J. Simpson trial, the Oklahoma City bombing trials, the 1998 Winter Olympics, and several other notable events for ABC. She joined ESPN in 2000 as a general assignment reporter after her time at ABC and a stint with WBAL-TV in Baltimore.
