Penn State Men’s Lacrosse Attackman TJ Malone Named USA Lacrosse Magazine Division I Player Of The Week

Penn State men’s lacrosse star attackman TJ Malone was named USA Lacrosse Magazine’s Division I Player of the Week after a nine-point game against No. 9 Yale, the organization announced Tuesday.

Malone’s nine points in the 15-14 comeback win over the Bulldogs, which consisted of five goals and four assists, was a career-high, propelling him to his first USA Lacrosse weekly honor of the season.

After scoring a season-high five goals in the game, the graduate senior has 10 goals in four appearances, tied for the second-highest on the team.

After the upset victory, the blue and white climbed two spots to No. 10 in the most recent USILA poll.

Malone and the Nittany Lions return to Panzer Stadium at noon on Saturday, March 9, for a top-10 matchup with No. 8 Cornell.
