SPA, Opulence To Host Free Drag Show With Kerri Colby & Rosé March 21

Penn State’s Student Programming Association (SPA), in partnership with Opulence, will host drag queens Kerri Colby and Rosé for a free drag show at 8 p.m. on Thursday, March 21, in the HUB’s Alumni Hall.

Colby is best known for her participation in season 14 of “RuPaul’s Drag Race,” on which she placed ninth overall. Since the show, Colby has collaborated with brands like Jean Paul Gaultier and Savage X Fenty. Additionally, she has launched her original series “Kerri Kares” on the WOW Presents Plus network, where she offers life advice to her viewers alongside celebrity guests.

Rosé was a finalist on season 13 of “RuPaul’s Drag Race,” placing third overall. Rosé prides herself on her talents in singing, dancing, and acting, and she has even been featured on competition television shows like “The Voice” and “America’s Got Talent.” Her experiences in the musical group Stephanie’s Child and the off-Broadway show “Titanique” are a few more examples of Rosé’s love for performing.

Penn State Opulence is the premier Drag Ambassadors Club on campus and has hosted numerous drag shows in the past.

Like every SPA event, the drag show is free for Penn State students and funded by their student-initiated fee. Tickets will be available to those who RSVP through OrgCentral at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, March 19.
