‘The Wailers’ To Headline Happy Valley Music Series At Tussey Mountain

The Wailers, legendary reggae singer Bob Marley’s band, are set to headline “A Bob Marley Celebration” at the Tussey Mountain Amphitheater on Sunday, June 23. The concert will kick off the Happy Valley Music Series.

The concert will be presented by Rich Engler, a music promoter and producer, and in part by The Happy Valley Adventure Bureau (HVAB).

“We are thrilled to work with Rich Engler in presenting a fantastic lineup of monthly concerts, starting off strong with The Wailers and Michael Glabicki of Rusted Root Uprooted Trio,” HVAB President and CEO Fritz Smith said in a statement. “With Bob Marley’s continued popularity and the success of the film One Love as a top-grossing music biopic, combined with the scenic Tussey Mountain outdoor venue, we expect great interest in and enthusiasm for the inaugural concert.”

In addition to the concert, Marley memorabilia from his last concert in Pittsburgh will also be on display. The exhibit will include photographs and autographed items from Marley.

The Wailers will perform several of their hits, including “Three Little Birds,” “Could You Be Loved,” “One Love,” “Redemption Song,” and “No Women No Cry”, among others.

Michael Glabicki of Rusted Root Uprooted Trio will also perform alongside the Wailers as a special guest star.

Following the Wailers, Loggins and Messina will perform in the Happy Valley Music Series on Sunday, July 28, and the Guess Who Alumni will perform on Sunday, August 11.

Tickets for The Wailers/Rusted Root Uprooted Trio are $40 (plus service charge) for general admission, with a limited number of $50 (plus service charge) tickets that ensure upfront viewing. Tickets will go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday, March 29, at www.iTickets.com or by phone.
