Will Vincent Receives Venmo Request For Final THON Total

The conclusion of THON 2024 is finally complete as the organization’s executive director Will Vincent received a request on Venmo for the final total from the event, $16,955,683.68, from university leadership earlier today.

The amount is a record-breaking total for the organization and also marks the largest transaction in Venmo history. An announcement of the request was made official according to a release provided by the university on Monday. In the statement, Penn State revealed Venmo was the most efficient way to transfer money because no one is entirely sure how to write a check anymore.

We reached out for a request for comment, but President Neeli Bendapudi’s office said she was too busy to provide commentary on the matter at this time.
