Penn State Baseball Clinches Big Ten Tournament

Penn State baseball clinched its first bid to the Big Ten Tournament since 2022 on Friday. The Nittany Lions extended their season with a sweep over Maryland in their final series.

The Nittany Lions reached the tournament in their first season under the command of head coach Mike Gambino. Penn State finished their Big Ten regular season campaign with an 11-12 record and snuck into the tournament through a tie-breaker with the Terrapins. Penn State squeaked to a positive record against all teams, finishing the regular season at 25-23.

The Big Ten Tournament is set to begin on Tuesday, May 21. An opponent and start time for Penn State are yet to be set.
