Penn State Women’s Soccer Announces 2024 Schedule

Penn State women’s soccer announced its schedule for the 2024 season on Tuesday. The Nittany Lions will face 19 opponents, 10 of which at Jeffrey Field.

Penn State will open the season at home against Texas Tech on Thursday, August 15. The Nittany Lions will then play its next three games at home against Virginia (August 22), West Chester (August 25), and West Virginia (August 29).

Penn State’s first road game will be a rematch from last year’s round of 16 game of the NCAA Tournament as it faces St. Louis on Sunday, September 1. In last year’s matchup, Penn State won a double overtime thriller 4-3.

Penn State will complete its three-game road trip by facing Princeton on September 5 and reigning Big East champion Georgetown on September 8.

The Nittany Lions start its Big Ten conference action with a huge game against Michigan on September 12. The Nittany Lions will then play its Senior Day game on September 15 against Columbia.

Penn State will then split its next four games at home and on the road as it faces Northwestern, Michigan State, Iowa, and Nebraska between September 19 and September 29.

Penn State’s final stretch of games includes familiar foes and new conference arrivals as it faces Rutgers and Minnesota at home while traveling to face Maryland, UCLA, and USC on the road.

The Nittany Lions close their regular season action on the road against bitter rivals Ohio State on October 27. The Big Ten tournament starts quickly after, beginning on October 31 and ending on November 10.

If the Nittany Lions advance past their conference opponents, then they will go on to the NCAA Tournament which goes from November 15 to December 9.
