Former Penn State Football Linebacker Curtin Jacobs Drafted By DC Defenders

Former Penn State football linebacker Curtis Jacobs has been drafted into the UFL by the D.C. Defenders with the No. 60 overall selection. Jacobs was previously signed as an undrafted free agent by the Kansas City Chiefs after he went undrafted in the NFL Draft.

Jacobs is not required to play for the Defenders should he remain with the Chiefs. However, the Defenders own his rights should the linebacker ever wish to play in the UFL.

Jacobs played for Penn State from 2020-24, appearing in 45 games and starting in 36 during his career. He finished his time in Happy Valley with 170 total tackles, 24 tackles for loss, 9.5 sacks, a forced fumble, and two interceptions.

Only former Penn State running back John Lovett and guard Steven Gonzalez play in the USFL, representing the San Antonio Brahmas and the St. Louis Battlehawks, respectively.
