West Virginia Calls For ‘Stripe The Stadium’ Against Penn State Football

It turns out Penn State football will be playing in more than one Stripe Out this season, folks.

West Virginia will hold a “Stripe the Stadium” promotion for its game against Penn State, the program announced Tuesday. Penn State will face the Mountaineers to open the 2024 season on August 31.

Penn State is no stranger to playing themed games in tough road environments. Ohio State hosted Penn State in a “Scarlet the Shoe” event, while Purdue blacked out its crowd at the start of the 2021 season.

Penn State hosted the Mountaineers in a Helmet Stripe game last year, a theme set to return against Ohio State. The Nittany Lions will Stripe Out Beaver Stadium against UCLA on October 5.
