Four-Star Linebacker Cam Smith Flips To Penn State Football

Class of 2025 four-star linebacker Cameron Smith has committed to Penn State football, he announced Thursday. Smith was previously committed to former Penn State defensive coordinator Manny Diaz and Duke.

Smith, a native of Philadelphia, is rated as the No. 30 linebacker in the country and ninth-best overall player in Pennsylvania, per the 247Sports Composite ratings. With Smith’s flip, Penn State holds commitments from four of the 247Sports Composite’s top 10 players in Pennsylvania.

Standing at 6′ and 200 pounds, Smith plays running back and linebacker for St. Joseph’s Prep. He recorded 96 total tackles and two sacks on defense during his junior season, as well as 237 yards and a touchdown on the ground, per his MaxPreps profile.
