Penn State Women’s Soccer Moves To No. 3 In United Soccer Coaches Poll

Penn State women’s soccer moved up to No. 3 in this week’s United Soccer Coaches Poll. This is one spot higher than the Nittany Lions were ranked in the preseason poll.

The move in the rankings comes following a dominant performance in the season opener against then-No. 8 Texas Tech. The Nittany Lions beat the Red Raiders, who have now fallen out of the top 25, 4-0.

Penn State will return to action at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, August 22, against No. 21 Virginia. The match will take place at Jeffery Field after the annual March to the Match event takes place.
