Stephen Nedoroscik To Compete On 33rd Season Of ‘Dancing With The Stars’

Former Penn State gymnast and 2024 Olympic medalist Stephen Nedoroscik, best known as “Pommel Horse Guy,” will compete in the upcoming season of the hit ABC show “Dancing with the Stars.”

The two-time Olympic medalist, who was recently featured on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon,” took the internet by storm during this year’s Olympics with trending memes about his legendary pommel horse skills, his Clark Kent characteristics, and a picture indicating he was asleep just before his bronze-winning performance.

Good Morning America announced the casting on Thursday, declaring Nedoroscik as the first celebrity contestant named for the season and the first-ever male gymnast to compete on the show.

“I want to bring some of that gymnastics, maybe a backflip or handstand,” Nedoroscik said. “I want to have fun with it.”

This season of DWTS will be co-hosted by Alfonso Ribeiro and two-time winner Julianne Hough and judged by Carrie Ann Inaba, Bruno Tonioli, and Derek Hough. ABC stated in a release that the remaining celebrity cast members will be released in the coming weeks.

The 33rd season is set to premiere on Tuesday, September 17, on ABC and Disney+
