Reintroducing Onward State’s Newsletters

More than eight years ago, Onward State made its way into your inbox for the first time.

In 2016, we launched our first-ever newsletter, an automated message that went out each afternoon highlighting the most recent posts on Onward State. Now, we’re ready to take the next step.

Onward State is proud to reintroduce and reinvent its daily newsletter. Now, instead of a robot deciding which stories you get each afternoon, our student writers will select and recap our best stories of each morning and send them your way.

Onward State will run two newsletters: Onward Updates and the Press Box Tailgate. Onward Updates will run Monday through Friday and focus on daily news around Penn State. The Press Box Tailgate will be a Penn State football-specific newsletter that will be published each game day and the day after a game.

The first edition of the Press Box Tailgate will come out on Saturday, August 31. The first edition of Onward Updates will come out on Monday, September 2.

Folks who have already signed up for our daily newsletter don’t need to sign up for these new newsletters. We’ll be using the same mailing list we have for the last eight years. Those who are interested in joining Onward State’s new version of the newsletters can do so below.

Joe Lister
