Report: Penn State Hoops To Face Indiana January 5 At Palestra

Penn State men’s basketball will face Indiana on Saturday, January 5, at the Palestra, per college basketball insider Jon Rothstein. The matchup would be the third in three years at Penn’s home court for Penn State.

The Nittany Lions have previously played at the Palestra against Big Ten opponents Purdue and Michigan. The venue has served as host to Penn State’s marquee matchups in recent years, along with a Return to Rec game and other promotions.

Penn State’s Big Ten schedule isn’t set yet, though the Nittany Lions’ opponents were released in May. Penn State’s out-of-conference schedule has already been set, ending with a matchup against Penn on December 29. If Penn State were to play Indiana on January 5, it would serve as one of the opening matchups of the program’s full-time Big Ten schedule.
