Penn State Campus Rec Opens 12 Pickleball Courts
Penn State Campus Recreation is opening 12 pickleball courts located next to McCoy Natatorium, it announced Monday. Formerly serving as tennis courts, the new courts were funded by the Student Fee Board in response to the growing demand and popularity for pickleball among students.
The new courts are open to all Penn State students daily from dawn until dusk. Folks are welcome to check out pickleball paddles and balls from the Intramural Building and Tennis Center on campus.
The grand opening is set for 2-4 p.m. on Monday, September 9. The event will feature various giveaways, music, and an opportunity to check out the new courts.
