Penn State-Kent State Set For 3:30 P.M. Kickoff On Big Ten Network

Penn State football’s Saturday, September 21, matchup against Kent State is set for a 3:30 p.m. kickoff on the Big Ten Network, the Big Ten announced Monday. The Nittany Lions will face the Golden Flashes in their third game of the season, coming off a bye week.

Penn State has faced Kent State six times, first facing the Golden Flashes in 1965. Penn State won that matchup 21-6 under the direction of head coach Rip Engle. James Franklin most recently led the Nittany Lions to a 63-10 win over Kent State in 2018, the largest deficit in any of the games between the two programs.

The Nittany Lions will face their second MAC team in as many games, after narrowly defeating Bowling Green 34-27 on Saturday. The Nittany Lions will have a week off before diving into a three-game home stand that begins with the Golden Flashes.
