Riley Thompson Named Ray Guy Punter Of The Week

Riley Thompson was tabbed the Ray Guy Award for Punter of the Week in the second week of the college football season on Tuesday.

Against Bowling Green, Thompson kicked four punts for an average distance of 47 yards. The Penn State captain pinned the Falcons inside the 20-yard line twice.

The junior from Melbourne, Australia, is in his second season with the Nittany Lions after transferring from Florida Atlantic. Across his college career, Thompson has averaged 45.6 yards with 46 punts inside the 20-yard line, 14 inside the 10, and 31 punts of 50+ yards. Last season, Thompson was named an All-Big Ten honorable mention by coaches and media.
