Penn State Women’s Soccer Drops To No. 12 In United Soccer Coaches Poll

Penn State women’s soccer dropped to No. 12 in this week’s United Soccer Coaches Poll. The Nittany Lions fell four spots after being ranked No. 8 in last week’s rankings.

This drop in the rankings came after Penn State suffered its first draw of the season against No. 23 Georgetown on Sunday. Penn State started the week with a 1-0 win on the road against Princeton on Thursday, September 5, with a goal by Olivia Borgen in the 77th minute. However, the Nittany Lions drew 0-0 against the Hoyas on Sunday.

After playing three games on the road, the Nittany Lions will return to Jeffrey Field at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, September 12, to take on Michigan to begin a four-game homestand.
