[Photo Story] Penn State’s New Engineering Buildings
For those of you who haven’t explored the west side of campus recently, there’s some fancy new architecture you should go check out. The Penn State engineers received some swanky additions to their study spots and classrooms.
Our photographers took a tour through the new buildings and captured some of their new perks. Let’s take a look.
Engineering Collaborative Research & Education Building
The outside of this building features two big entrances with signs displaying the building’s name.
Inside the building, there are plenty of fun, comfortable colored chairs that are perfect spots for studying and having a great view of Westgate.
The building also features unique-styled classrooms and large computer labs.
Engineering Design & Innovation Building
The Engineering Design and Innovation Building is arguably one of Penn State’s prettiest academic buildings.
The inside of this building is an engineering student’s dream. With different workshops and plenty of whiteboards, there are enough tools for engineers to get to cookin’ on their ideas.
If you’re looking for a place with natural light to chill or study, this building will never fall short of spots. With windows from the bottom to the top of the building, students can enjoy a view of engineering workshops or campus.
Earth & Engineering Sciences Building
While there isn’t too much new with this building, the Earth and Engineer Sciences Building has a new entrance with an open study area with tables, chairs, and desks, making it a perfect place for a quick group project meet-up location.
