Campus Recreation To Host Annual Ice Cream Mile October 12

Penn State Campus Recreation will host an Ice Cream Mile at noon on Saturday, October 12, at the Intramural Fields.

After completing each lap, participants will consume one cup of Creamery ice cream. At the IM Fields, the process will be repeated three times in total until one mile is completed. Campus Rec staff will use stopwatches to measure the total time, which will be determined by adding the runtime and the amount of ice cream consumed.

The event will be open to the first 250 students who sign up. Registration costs $10 and includes a T-shirt for the first 125 students and a finisher sticker. Check-in for the Ice Cream Mile will begin at 11:30 a.m., and the race will begin at noon.

Registration closes at midnight on Friday, October 11. Folks interested can sign up here.
