When You Know You’ve Peaked At Penn State

There’s so much to love about Penn State.

From football games and tailgating to the downtown bars to the alumni network, there’s so much this university has to offer. Throughout your college career at Penn State, you might be considered lucky for being gifted with certain experiences and opportunities.

Whether it’s going to every single Dollar Vodka Soda Night (DVSN) at Champs or making a new friend in a cocktagon, some experiences aren’t necessarily canon to the Penn State experience. It makes those who exposed them debatably better than everyone else.

Without further ado, here’s how you know if you’ve peaked at Penn State.

Successfully Took A Blow Job Shot

Although partaking in a blow job shot on your 21st birthday at The Phyrst is a canon event, it’s not always the easiest. It’s messy and takes some talent, especially with no hands. So, if you successfully swung back the Amaretto and Bailey’s-infused shot with no hassle, consider yourself a legend. You peaked that night.

Got Season Football Tickets Every Year

This is pretty much unheard of.

If you’re a student, you know the struggle of securing season tickets for Penn State football. Back in the day, waking up at 7 a.m. to join the Ticketmaster queue was a pain in the ass, as the odds of not getting tickets were high, especially for freshmen. Now that it’s a lottery system, your odds are still about the same.

If you are one of the few students who have gotten season tickets all four years at Penn State, you’ve peaked, and you’re probably a magician, too.

Danced During THON

Dancing during THON weekend is no joke.

Each year, roughly 700 dancers are selected to stand, dance, and stay awake for 46 hours straight. For many students, this is a dream to them, as the process and IDC fundraising leading up to THON weekend is no easy task. If you ever get the chance to dance in the Bryce Jordan Center that weekend, you’ll have stories to tell for years to come and have peaked during your time at Penn State.

Went To Every Dollar Vodka Soda Night

Champs’ wildly popular DVSN is some folks’ favorite day of the week. Some students even manage to pull up to Champs every single Thursday in one semester for discounted beverages. If you’re one of them, you’re truly a dedicated patron and are a part of the 1% at Penn State.

Never Written Up By An RA

Have you avoided the RA radar your entire time in the dorms? You, my friend, have unlocked stealth mode in real life. No noise complaints, no questionable parties, just smooth sailing. You’ve achieved one of the hardest goals on campus.

Made A New Friend While In a Cocktagon

If you found yourself bonding with someone in the cocktagon, you peaked. Nothing beats taking a piss while networking and gaining a new Instagram follower.

Met James Franklin In Passing

Caught a glimpse of James Franklin on campus? Maybe he gave you a nod and smiled or you just brushed shoulders. Either way, this is peak Penn State. You’ve felt the energy of greatness — and now you’re basically a part of the football team, right?

Discovered The Secret Identity Of The Nittany Lion

So, you’ve cracked the code and somehow found out who the Nittany Lion mascot is? You’ve reached a new level of insider knowledge. It’s like figuring out who Batman or Spider-Man is but with way more school spirit. Just remember: With great knowledge comes great responsibility — don’t spoil it for the rest of us!
