Experience Penn State Legends and Lore at Haunted Valley on Oct. 18

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — The Penn State Lion Ambassadors will explore Penn State legends and lore at its annual “Haunted Valley” event on Friday, Oct. 18 from 7–10 p.m. at the Hintz Family Alumni Center and University House. The event is free and open to the public. University House, attached to the Hintz Family Alumni Center, is the oldest standing structure on the University Park campus and was home to 11 Penn State presidents. Visitors will have a chance to explore the building with twists and turns in every direction. Lion Ambassadors will also lead lantern tours around campus, beginning at the Hintz Family Alumni Center.

RSVP for the event here. The final “Haunted Valley” lantern tour will depart at 9:40 p.m., and RSVP-ing does not guarantee a tour time.

“Haunted Valley is an experience that introduces guests to Penn State history in a unique way,” said Lion Ambassadors Executive Vice President Megan Lavelle. “This year’s theme is Haunted Hotel, and the event will feature spooky fun, free food, entertainment and so much more.”

Lion Ambassadors, founded in 1981, is the student alumni corps of the Penn State Alumni Association. Their mission is to communicate the University’s history, personality, and traditions to students, alumni, and friends through tours and programming.
