HackPSU To Host Hackathon October 12 & 13

HackPSU will host its semesterly hackathon on Saturday, October 12, through Sunday, October 13, according to the organization’s website.

Students from universities across the United States will come together to work in teams aiming to develop innovative technical solutions and products that address real-world challenges during this semester’s event.

The hackathon spans a full 24 hours, kicking off at 2 p.m. on Saturday with hacking ending at 1:45 p.m. on Sunday. During this time, participants will immerse themselves in coding, brainstorming, and prototyping.

At the end of the event, projects will be evaluated by a panel of judges comprising representatives from sponsoring organizations as well as members of the HackPSU board. Participants have the opportunity to compete for special awards in categories such as sustainability, generative AI, and entrepreneurship.

Hackers from all backgrounds, skill levels, and interests are welcome, and the event is free to attend. Meals, air mattresses, and even a gaming space will be provided at the Business Building for the duration of the hackathon.

Hackers will only need their laptops or other devices to write code on, as well as student IDs for the check-in process.
