Penn State Women’s Soccer Drops To No. 20 In United Soccer Coaches Poll

Penn State women’s soccer dropped to No. 20 in this week’s United Soccer Coaches Poll. The Nittany Lions dropped one spot after being ranked No. 19 in last week’s rankings.

The drop in the rankings came after the Nittany Lions tied unranked Rutgers 1-1 on Thursday. Penn State is among five Big Ten schools ranked, including No. 5 Michigan State, No. 8 Ohio State, No. 9 Iowa, and No. 19 USC.

Penn State will be back in action at 7 p.m. on Thursday, October 10 when they travel to Maryland. On Sunday, the Nittany Lions will host Minnesota at 1 p.m. at Jeffrey Field. Penn State is now 3-2-1 in conference play and holds the seventh position in the Big Ten Standings.
