Izzy Starck Named Big Ten Women’s Volleyball Freshman Of The Week

Penn State women’s volleyball setter Izzy Starck was named Big Ten Freshman of the Week after helping Penn State to two road victories over Michigan State and Indiana respectively.

Against the Spartans, Starck recorded 32 assists and seven digs in a match that saw Penn State win in straight sets. Against Indiana, Starck finished with 53 assists, 12 digs, three blocks, and two kills to help the Nittany Lions give the Hoosiers their first home loss of the season.

This was the fourth time that Starck has earned Big Ten Freshman of the Week honors, as she’s played a vital role in Penn State’s dominant 16-1 start to the season.

Penn State will return to action against Ohio State on Friday, October 18, in Columbus before returning to State College to face Minnesota on Sunday, October 20.
