Class Of 2025 4.5 Star Forward Lev Katzin Commits To Penn State Men’s Hockey

4.5-star forward Lev Katzin committed to Penn State men’s hockey, he announced Thursday morning. Katzin is playing his second year with the Green Bay Gamblers of the United States Hockey League (USHL). He was previously committed to Harvard.

In 57 games with the Gamblers last season, Katzin registered 10 goals and 23 assists, according to Elite Prospects. Through five games this USHL season, he has collected three points. Katzin’s 4.5-star ranking comes from Puck Preps.

The 17-year-old will join the Nittany Lions for the 2025-26 season. The 5’8″, 176-pound Thornhill, Ontario, native is eligible for the 2025 NHL Draft, per Hockey Valley Horizons.
