Where To Find Corn Mazes Near State College

The leaves are changing, the temperature is dropping, and it’s time to find a corn maze, folks!

Corn mazes and all the other fall festivities that come with the changing of the seasons are some of the most exciting things to do in central Pennsylvania this time of year. So, get out of downtown State College for a day and visit some local hot spots.

We compiled some of our favorite corn mazes in and around the State College area.

Harner Farm

Harner Farm is the closest of all the options for people in State College to visit a corn maze. Located just a few miles from campus on Whitehall Road, Harner Farm is a popular spot for students, families, and anyone looking to enjoy the fall weather.

Folks can enjoy daily apple picking, a corn maze, and a haunted store. During the final three weeks of October, Harner Farm is hosting a haunted corn maze from 7 to 10 p.m. on six different nights. There will be cider, cocoa, hot dogs, and sweat treats for people coming to the farm. Tickets for this event are $10.

Wasson Farm Market

Wasson Farm Market is located on Shingleton Road in State College and has held its Fall Fest for over 20 years. Along with having an opportunity to navigate its corn maze, visitors can pay $8 for a hayride to and from its pumpkin patch, and enjoy the maze.

The festival also features an assortment of fall goods, including apple cider floats, homemade ice cream, baked goods, and homemade soups. The last chance to enjoy the festivities at Wasson Farm Market is from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, October 19, and Sunday, October 20. Cash or checks are the only form of payment.

At The Barnyard

A few more miles up the road in Lewistown, Pennsylvania, folks can enjoy the fall weather and festivities. At The Barnyard has everything, including a corn maze, hayride, play area, and pumpkins. At The Barnyard is open on Fridays from 4 p.m. until dark, Saturdays from noon until dark, and Sundays from 1 to 6 p.m.

At The Barnyard is situated in a beautiful valley and sits on a large property with plenty to offer for people interested in making the drive. The corn maze is known for its elaborate designs and plenty of activities for all ages.

JB Tree Farm

Also located a little further from State College, JB Tree Farm is in Alexandria, Pennsylvania, but has a nice variety of fall festivities for anyone interested.

The farm is known for its Christmas trees, but in the fall has a corn maze for the public, too. After Thanksgiving, there will be hayrides for anyone visiting the farm. JB Tree Farm also sells raspberries, strawberries, and blackberries on-site.
