Penn State Hoops Forward Tibor Mirtič Out For The Season

Penn State men’s basketball head coach Mike Rhoades told media members on Thursday that freshman forward Tibor Mirtič will be out for the remainder of the season.

The Ljubljana, Slovenia, native has been out of the lineup since January 6, with a knee and shoulder injury. A role player for the Nittany Lions, Mirtič, has played in 15 games this season, averaging 3.7 points per game and 3.3 rebounds per game.

Penn State has battled through injuries for much of Big Ten play this season, and will not officially be out one of their best bench pieces for the remainder of the 2025-26 season.
