[Photo Story] 2024 THON 5K

THON continued its fundraising journey with the annual THON 5K on Sunday. Families, students, friends, and community members came together to support the runners (and walkers) while enjoying the beautiful fall weather.

Tables were set up in front of the Bryce Jordan Center, offering activities for everyone to participate in. Superhero mask-making and face painting were the favorites, but don’t forget the balloon station!

Dancer relations captains, to the stage! Everyone joined the dancer relations captains in a line dance that left the BJC boomin’!

Next came the kids’ race. These future Nittany Lions took their place and sprinted off to the finish line.

Before the 5K started, runners needed encouragement from the Nittany Lion to keep their energy alive and spirits high.

Runners (and walkers) took their mark and began the 5K through campus. A little after 17 minutes, the first runner completed the course and found their way to the finish line.

Support for the participants was heard all throughout campus, with signs and noise makers encouraging everyone to keep going.

We dance in 123, folks!
