Malick Daouda Ranks No. 16 TopDrawerSoccer’s Midseason Top-100 Freshmen List

Penn State men’s soccer midfielder Malick Daouda was ranked No. 16 on TopDrawerSoccer’s Midseason Top-100 Freshmen list. Daouda has played in all 13 games this season, six of which he played for 90 minutes.

Daouda has one goal on the season, a late winner against Michigan State on September 20 that ended a three-game skid by the Nittany Lions. The Montreal native also received Big Ten Freshman of the Week honors for his performance in that match. He was the highest-ranking Big Ten player on the list.

Daouda’s impact on the field has been shown in the passes he threads along to his teammates up top. His creativity and length spark the team’s attacks.

Daouda and the Nittany Lions will play their last regular season home game against Wisconsin at 7 p.m. on Saturday, October 26, at Jeffrey Field.
