Your Guide To Downtown Halloween Bar Events & Specials

Happy Halloween, folks!

With all the tricks, like exhausting midterms and a noon game this weekend, it’s time to focus on all the treats that come with Halloweekend: dressing up in costumes and drinking all weekend. For 21+ students and residents, the weekend also entails going out to the many lively downtown State College bars.

From costume contests to bar specials to live music, these bars cooked up the perfect recipe for a spooky and active weekend.

We compiled all the downtown happenings this Halloweekend.

The Basement

The Basement Nightspot will be offering $1 vodka sodas and a full happy hour on Halloween with costume contests for cash and prizes and a live DJ.

Brothers Bar & Grill

On both Halloween and Day of the Dead, Brothers Bar and Grill will host a costume contest at 10 p.m. Gift cards will be awarded to first-, second-, and third-place winners, ranging from $50 to $150 in value.

Champs Downtown

Along with Thursday’s Dollar Vodka Soda Night and DJ Yemi, TV personality Kyle Cooke will make his Champs debut on Halloween night.
