Four-Star Guard Kayden Mingo Commits To Penn State Hoops

Class of 2025 four-star combo guard Kayden Mingo announced his commitment to Penn State men’s basketball on Friday.

The Glen Head, New York, native is ranked as the 42nd-best player and fifth-best combo guard in the country, and second-best player in the state of New York by 247Sports Composite rankings. Mingo stands 6’2″ and plays his high school basketball at Long Island Lutheran.

Mingo chose the Nittany Lions over Georgia, Virginia Tech, and Wake Forest. Mingo is Mike Rhoades’ first guard to pledge his commitment to the blue and white in the 2025 cycle.

Penn State has also earned commitments from three-star center Justin Houser and three-star forward Mason Blackwood.
