[Photo Story] Autumn on Campus: A Worm’s Eye View
Fall is here, folks!
The chilly weather brings more than just pumpkins, cozy sweaters, and crisp air. It’s also the perfect time to look at campus from a fresh angle — right down at ground level. If you were a kid who loved digging in the dirt or catching bugs, this one’s for you.
It got us thinking: what would campus look like from a worm’s point of view in autumn? Inspired by our spring worm’s-eye view, we explored campus again from down low.
Our first stop? The east side of campus, where fall colors were on full display. With golden leaves surrounding the Bryce Jordan Center, Beaver Stadium, and the “We Are” sign, these familiar landmarks felt fresh and new in the crisp autumn light.
Our guides’ favorite season is fall, with football in full swing (despite last week’s loss) and basketball just starting up again.
Following a quick session at the IM Building, we started our trek west, kicking things off with a stop at the energetic freshmen quarters, East Halls.
After a quick ice cream break, we continued on our journey.
Our guide tried to catch us a ride on the Whoop, but we missed it — so we were back to our slow crawl across campus, as worms aren’t exactly built for speed!
With the weather getting colder, there’s nothing better than curling up in the library with a good book.
Last but not least, the tour ended at the HUB, which looked just as stunning with the colorful leaves scattered across the ground.
We hope this worm-guided tour helped you discover the hidden autumn beauty waiting when you look up from the colorful leaves at your feet.
