[Photo Story] Penn State vs. Washington
For the fifth year in a row, the Nittany Lions won the White Out.
Washington traveled to Happy Valley this weekend to face Penn State in the 20th edition of the annual White Out game. The Nittany Lions trounced last year’s national championship runner-up 35-6 in an exciting “Welcome to the Big Ten” game for the Huskies.
As always, our photographers were on the field to capture the greatest show in college sports. Let’s take a look back at our favorite photos from the game.
With an 8 p.m. kickoff time, it was already dark by the time Penn State arrived at Beaver Stadium.
The players donned special white warmup gear as they prepped for the game.
After finishing off warmups with some reps in pads, it was time for the greatest show in college sports.
Ladies and gentlemen, the 2024 Penn State White Out.
The Nittany Lions dispelled their streak of slow starts with a touchdown in the first quarter thanks to a run by Beau Pribula.
Next, it was Tyler Warren’s turn, and he leaped into the end zone for another six points.
Warren didn’t stop there, finding the end zone for the second time, this one following an interception by Jaylen Reed.
The Nittany Lions were absolutely rolling on offense in the first half.
Julian Fleming finished Penn State’s dominant first half with his first touchdown as a Nittany Lion.
Throughout the first half, the Penn State fans were loud, trying their best to disrupt the Huskies.
Washington opened the second half with a pair of field goals, but the Nittany Lions sealed the deal with a Kaytron Allen touchdown to go up 35-6.
The defense played spectacularly, holding the high-powered Huskies offense to just six points.
After the game, it was all smiles from the Nittany Lions.
A few Nittany Lion alumni were in attendance to join the celebrations, too.
