Penn State Football Opens As 28.5-Point Favorite Against Purdue

After another back-to-back home stint and a successful White Out weekend, Penn State football will travel to West Lafayette, Indiana, to take on Purdue this Saturday.

Following a 35-6 rout of Washington, DraftKings released the initial spread for the Nittany Lions’ matchup against the Boilermakers. The blue and white are 28.5-point favorites over Purdue with an over/under set at 50.5 points. The sportsbook also set the money line for the game at -8000 for Penn State, making Purdue +2200 underdogs.

According to OddsShark, in the last 10 matchups between the two conference opponents, the Nittany Lions are a perfect 10-0 head to head and 6-3-1 against the spread. The last time Purdue defeated Penn State was two decades ago when the Boilermakers took a 20-13 victory in Happy Valley in 2004.

Penn State is 4-5 against the spread and 2-7 against the over/under this season.
