Penn State Announces College Football Playoff Season Ticket Holder Plan

Holders of season tickets for Penn State football games will be able to reserve their seats for a possible College Football Playoff game at Beaver Stadium in December, according to an email sent to season ticket holders on Wednesday.

The deadline to reserve seats for season ticket holders will be Friday, November 22. Penn State would host a playoff game on Friday, December 20, or Saturday, December 21.

Folks who opt-in to obtain tickets to the game won’t be charged until the team is guaranteed a spot in the playoffs. Folks getting tickets will receive mobile tickets between December 8 to 14. Physical tickets will not be issued.

Folks will be able to purchase their regular-season parking for a playoff game. Parking is weather-dependent and could be adjusted based on conditions around gameday.

According to The Athletic, general seating prices will range from $100 to $250. Prices for students will be set at $25 for the game and students will keep their general seating allotment for 21,000 seats. That information will be communicated to students in the coming weeks.

Penn State is expected to host a playoff game and was seeded No. 6 in the latest playoff rankings, which set it up for a projected home game against Ole Miss. Penn State is expected to win its final three games against Purdue, Minnesota, and Maryland.
