Penn State Athletics Announces College Football Playoff Student Ticket Information

Penn State Athletics announced its process for distributing student tickets for the College Football Playoff on Thursday in an email to students. Students can request a ticket via a lottery system until 5 p.m. on Friday, November 29.

Students can request one ticket for $28. Student tickets won’t be transferable and can’t be resold for a playoff game.

Students can request a ticket any time until the deadline, and Athletics said the timing of the request will not impact the student’s odds of receiving a ticket.

To submit their request, students will put a debit or credit card on file and complete the remaining checkout steps. They will only be charged if Penn State hosts a playoff game at Beaver Stadium and their account is selected to receive a student ticket via the lottery process.

Students will be notified via email between Monday, December 2, and Friday, December 6, informing them if their account was selected. Students will be charged on Sunday, December 8.

Penn State is expected to host a playoff game at Beaver Stadium on Friday, December 20, or Saturday, December 21. University dorms will remain open until 4 p.m. on Sunday, December 22.

Penn State previously announced its procedure for season ticket holders in an email earlier in November.
