[Photo Story] Lighting Up Downtown State College

It’s starting to become that time of year, folks!

To kick off the holiday festivities, State College hosted its annual Light Up Night downtown on Thursday night.

Tons were in attendance for a night full of Christmas spirit.

Allen Street had activities and shows for guests to enjoy.

Performers included the Quintessential Brass Quintet, Unity Church of Jesus Christ/Calvary Harvest View/Greys Woods Gospel Singers, NOTA a capella, and the Central Pennsylvania Dance Workshop.

There were free snacks, drinks, and even reindeer in the MLK Plaza and around Allen Street.

Along with the performances on Allen Street, there were also various artisan market vendors for guests to shop around.

Santa was also present for the fun. Toward the end of the night, after meeting with tons of boys and girls, he picked one lucky child to help him light up the Christmas Tree.

Happy Holidays, folks!
