Penn State athletics received a $1 million donation for the revitalization of Beaver Stadium, the university announced Monday afternoon.

The gift came from an anonymous family that includes multiple Penn State graduates who have supported Penn State Athletics, THON, and the Smeal College of Business in the past.

β€œWe are deeply grateful for the extraordinary generosity of an anonymous donor family whose $1 million gift will have a lasting impact on the Beaver Stadium Revitalization project,” Pat Kraft, Vice President for Intercollegiate Athletics, said.Β

β€œThis gift and the others we have received to date are a powerful testament to the broad support for our community and the exciting future ahead for our stadium.”

The donation will be used as part of the university’s $700 million project to renovate Beaver Stadium, which was approved in May 2024.
