John Seifarth’s Save Makes SportsCenter Top 10

Penn State men’s hockey goaltender John Seifarth’s save was ranked No. 2 on Thursday’s SportsCenter Top 10. Seifarth’s stop came in a 7-1 win over Colgate in his second Division I start for the Nittany Lions.

Seifarth’s save came near the mid-point of the second period against Colgate on Wednesday night, as he stretched his stick across the net to keep what was then a four-goal lead for the Nittany Lions.

Seifarth, typically Penn State’s third-string, made his second consecutive start for the Nittany Lions on Tuesday. After Arseeni Sergeev went down to injury and Noah Grannan struggled in his starts against Michigan, head coach Guy Gadowsky gave Seifarth the nod.
